McElhattan Foundation Appoints Jocelyn Horner Kelly, PhD, as Executive Director

Pittsburgh, PA — McElhattan Foundation today announced the appointment of Jocelyn Horner Kelly, PhD, as its new Executive Director, effective April 7, 2026.

Dr. Horner Kelly brings a proven record of leadership, rigorous execution and strategic impact that aligns with the Foundation’s commitment to breakthrough ideas and disciplined philanthropy. As Executive Director, she will lead the Foundation’s strategic direction, oversee operations and grantmaking, and advance partnerships that accelerate progress across its priority program areas.

“Jocelyn is a decisive, values-driven leader with the experience and strategic discipline required to guide the Foundation forward,” said Kent McElhattan, Chairman of McElhattan Foundation. “Her leadership will deepen our research-driven approach to grantmaking and ensure our resources are deployed where they can make the greatest difference.”

Under Dr. Horner Kelly’s leadership, the Foundation will continue to advance its core program areas of Ending Death on the Job, End‑of‑Life Planning and Care, Economic Development in Knox and Franklin, and Out‑of‑School‑Time Learning.
